We run a buisness where people are in and out all day...and I have to watch out for him cause he'll either act like he's licking the air...or trying to bite you when you pet him....near his tail, or around his back hips

Most cats have a sensitive spot at the base of their tails - it's an erogenous zone for cats. The licking of the air I am unsure of. However you have said that you cat bites. I would probably increase my insurance or preferably remove your cat from the business environment.

I have 3 cats and two of my cats do the same thing. One will even try to bite at anything close to his mouth when he is being petted there. I know of other cats that have this and some of them will even meow meow meow like they are talking when being scratched there. I guess it is just a sensitive spot on some cats but nothing to worry about.
