With all the 'miles' all of these fine old rifles have on them, if yours is not one that has had a complete armory 'overhaul & rebuild', I would say it would definitely be an excellent investment, especially as you also may be looking at a much more serious catastrophic failure sooner or later down the line.
The above was posted before it was mentioned that the weapon was 'new, from S.A.' Whether or not it is still under S.A. warranty, the rifle needs to be checked out by S.A., or a qualified Garand 'smith, NOT tinkered with on the hobby bench if the problem has continued after a thorough cleaning.

Could be a weak spring, bad clips, or the clip ejecting mechanism may need some adjustment.
If you are still under warranty, you may want to have S.A. check it out for you.
By the way, the best clips i have found are either the ones on the Greek 30.06 marked HXP and 2 numbers for the year of manufacture or clips marked "DAQ" for Dominion Arsenal Quebec.

Ejecting the clip early was a problem on some early production Garands that was largely dealt with by a minor design change. Wear can trigger it though. I remember years and years ago my Scoutmaster telling us how it happened to his Garand during the Battle of the Bulge. (great timing!) Garands are a bit picky about bullet weight they tend to favor the 150 grain and were designed to fire the 150 gr Ball M2 round. Some Garands will handle other bullet weights well and some won't. There may be other issue depending on the age and condition of you rifle.

Sounds like tensioning is wrong on the clip hold in; or it may be the clips; I have some made in china clips that aren't worth male bovine excretement. If the rifle is new contact springfield for advice or warranty fix.

jamming or not feeding right could be an ammo problem
I know in reloading Manuals it has certain powders marked for use in gas operated semi-autos
as far as the clip trying to come out early it could be a bad clip
Does it happen with the same clip or with different ones?
