well for an upper they would be extremely talkative, and energetic. Rarely sleeping and when they do sleep they sleep extremely long amounts of time, because of the crash from the drug.
Sweating, changing subject alot, even facial twitching, if they are doing cocaine, messing with their nose alot, and or blowing it, etc..

Other than drug testing them (and there are even ways to test negative while using if the person knows what they're doing), there's no way to know for sure, but if you notice a sudden change in their behavior, like maybe they have become moodier and more secretive, that could be a sign of using drugs. Also, if they seem to be short on money all the time but you don't understand why this would be, it could be that they are spending money on drugs.
For speed specifically, if the person is hardly sleeping/sleeping very little and seems restless/paranoid/irritable most of the time, that could be a sign that they are using/abusing amphetimines. Also, look at who their friends are. If they are hanging out with a lot of people who you know are doing drugs, it could be a sign that your friend/family member/whatever is too.
Of course there are other reasons why a person could exhibit all of these behaviors and more with out the explanation being drug use, but I hope this helps.

Only her doctor will be able to determine that. She might be on drugs. She might have a hyperactivity disorder. She might have a behavioral disorder caused by growing up in a family where everyone was always late and she got in the habit of extremely overcompensating. Whatever the cause, she could use some help from professionals as well as understanding and help from her friends as she tries to solve the problem.

its hard because she could just be a really sort of manic person
but id advise you to check out her facial muscle movement and eyes
people on speed usually do a few of the following
- pupils are dilated really big
- chew mouth - either sides or chew lips
- jerky movements
u cant really tell from behaviour cos I honestly have been accused of being on speed before and I wasnt at all!!!!!

speed..amphetamines make you much more active in talk and movement, including more frequent trips to the bathroom, especially urination. as far as the other drugs are concerned,it depends on the drug.
