I would capitalize it first off. Second off, why would you inflict that on your baby girl? She's got to live with that all through school. Perhaps you remember how they used to beat up Percy? I'd hate to think what they'd do to an Ethnes. Sounds like Ethel, which is not exactly a real crowd pleaser of a name either. How about Moon Unit? That's at least funny.

If you can't figure it out, how are all the people meeting her for the rest of her life supposed to do so? It is like the woman who used the name "Jaci" and got really snippy when you called her "jasi" because it was short for "Jacqueline", but her pronunciation violated all the rules of English pronunciation - and she was a counselor

How can you truly like a name if you can't even pronounce it?
And why put your child through that during school when no one can pronounce her name right?
