I'm a creationist and believe evolution could have happened. Its something that boggles my mind too. I feel like its something not to think about it
I'm a chemical engineer too.....one of my strong points is math.....Pi is just amazing, but if you delve too deep into it....you'll go crazy.
So its like...there were neanderthals.....we have proof.....how does that affect me today???

I'll go on a little..but i think evolution did take place....and adam and eve...were the first homosapiens to be given souls...the creature before just wanted to live and reproduce.....then was given a soul.

Since my understanding is that the few specimens of Neanderthal Man that are known, exhibit all the signs of having been Homo Sapiens, albeit with severe cases of arthritis, rickets and other kinds of nutritional deficiencies, etc., I would say that, yes, they had souls like the rest of us.
It just shows how much sickness, famine, strife, war, death and disease entered the world after the deception of Eve and the disobedience of Adam!

Some people say that ginger people descend from the cross breeding of us and neanderthal man, They lived at the same time as us so i suspect it to be true. I mean a shag was a shag to a cave man.
