How long does it take to travel to the center of the earth? Is it cold down there in Antarctica?

I am trying to determine what you mean by center of the earth. Are you making reference to the center core of the earth, or either the North or South pole. The length of time to get to either, will be determined from your starting point. I would need to know from what point on the earth you are starting.....this is assuming you are on earth.
