It is said that there are very few athiest in foxholes. I used to think I was unsaveable until I was shown a little bit of hell, that in itself greatly improved my faith in the Lord, & no longer have to worry about my future.

Ms. Rita if I were blind & you knew someone that could heal me wouldn't you tell me? Jesus said if the blind lead the blind they will both fall into a ditch. The bible is evidance that demands a verdict.

Any excuse is no excuse when it come to the kingdom of God. Maybe my statement is ackward it is because left out the detail. I can only turn on the light it is God that gives vision. I once I was blind now I see, I pray one day you will see also. If you take all the evidance there is in the bible to convict God of being God to a court of law I'm sure the verdict will be guilty unanimously.

hmm, I'd say that if you have 'faith' in 'the lord' you're probably not an athiest. I mean, with the whole not believing in a lord or a god thing, that faith in the lord bit might present a problem....

I'm glad you found something that worked for you. Atheism has worked pretty well for me over the last few years, and I see no need in my life for belief in a God.
I don't have to worry about my future, either :) (for different reasons, though)
Edit: Your statement did not make one shred of sense. I read it several times, and I still couldn't tie one sentence in with another. If I knew someone who could heal you, of course I'd tell you about it, but that has nothing to do with your second sentence about the blind leading the blind. The bible isn't evidence, nor does it demand a verdict (or whatever you meant by that). Please, you'd have to do a lot better than that to even start to be in the same ballpark when it comes to arguing religion with an atheist :)

An Atheist affirms without doubt that there is no God.
An Agnostic affirms in honesty that he is not sure if there is a God.
A Christian affirms that there is a God His Name is Jesus and He is the only one that can save us from the penalty of sin.

Yes - you are a theist
No - you are an atheist.
Maybe - you are an agnostic.
And I spent a bit of time in a foxhole. There are plenty of atheists in the military.

You thinking that you were unsavabale contradicts the fact that you considered yourself an atheist. I for one can't consider myself doomed or in need of rescue. You seemed more like a closet christian.

i have also come to my peace, but not how you would think... im not really christian and i dont believe in the bible but i believe in god and a christ who was a great prophet... im glad you found peace with your soul.
