I've always heard from people who experience the time of Pearl Harbor that Don Ho was a spy for the Japs, helping with the sneak attack. This seems to have persisted for years. Anyone else hear their parents or grandparents mention this about Ho?

No intent to speak poorly of the dead. His passing only reminded me of stories I've heard from grownups way back. I was curious if anyone else had heard the same thing.

I have heard it mentioned, but I think its BS. Jane Fonda is the only person of fame that I know of that helped the enemy's of our country.

Don Ho was born in 1930. That would have made him 11 years old at the time of Pearl Harbor.
Now what do you think?

Don Ho was born on August 13, 1930. In order for him to play any part in the Japanese attack on the military installations on Oahu, he would have been the only ten-eleven year old spy in the history of the Japanese Empire. Plus, his ethnicity was Portuguese and Chinese! At the time of the attack he and his family lived in Kanehohe, next to what was then a Naval Air Station. How many spies do you know who assist a military force to drop bombs near their own house and put their own families in peril?
I would suggest you re-check those who you say were "people who experienced the time of Pearl Harbor". They don't even know how to read a calendar or do simple math!

Don Ho has been dead for months, and his career has been dead for decades.
But if you really want something to do, I think you can rent DVD's of his old "Don Ho Show" from back in the 60's/70's.

Yes. Anybody with a ukele is usually a spy. It's almost like owning a AK47 really.
