it is for the black blue ( gray ) and dark brown ones - it makes them shiny im sure it does on the rest of the dogs but you cant see it as much - once a week should be enough -

Raw eggs are great for dogs. They are even better if you include the shell, the shell is loaded with calcium.
My own dogs get raw eggs a few times every week.
While they can cause biotin deficiency, your dog would have to consume ridiculous amounts of raw egg in a day for that to happen. A raw egg or two 2 or 3 times a week is nothing to worry about.

What type of dog food do you feed your dog? If you get a premium grade dog food like Castor & Pollux Natural Ultramix, it supplies 6 meats & Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids that help keep your pets coat/skin healthy. You can suppliment with a weekly raw egg mixed in their dog food, or you can also add a can of Tuna in oil. I don't use Tuna since it's high in Mercury, but I do use canned Salmon.

They can be, it depends on the dog and the problem. I did it for my dog for about a year and it made a very slight difference in the dryness of her coat, but didn't really help the main issues. The thing that made my dogs coat the best was changing foods to a high quality food. I tried low-grains (just corn, then just rice) and it got better, but still wasn't what I was hoping for so I switched to no grains and now it's awesome. Getting the grains out also cleared up her ears and it seems to have cleared up her seasonal allergies and the resulting hot spots as well as dropping those last 4lbs off of her.

Many years ago, it was thought to make their coats shiny. In actuality, they cannot digest the raw egg white, only the yolk. So, if you want to give the dog a whole egg, you should cook it, otherwise the white just passes through the digestive system without giving the dog any nutritional benefit.

Raw egg whites contain avidin, an enzyme that destroys biotin, a B-complex vitamin, within the body. Biotin deficiencies can result in hair problems, skin lesions, diarrhea, and decreased litter size. Egg yolks, on the other paw, are very high in biotin. So should you feed your dog egg yolks without the whites

Yes, I believe it does. Just make sure the egg doesn't have salmonella bacteria and stuff in it :)

Yep..it's good for cat's too. My grandma taught me about that, except she would mix hers with a little milk and they always lapped it up.
