They can and do, especially if they pray as they should. Being clean is important in Islam. Also FYI: the Prophet loved perfume.

Cleanliness is half of the faith of a Muslim person. If a person prays five times a day, they will usually perform ablution before the prayer (which means they clean their hands, mouths, noses, faces, head/ears, arms, and feet with water.) That ensures that they are in a constant state of cleanliness.
They are also encouraged to bathe and perfume themselves (for men) before coming in close contact with other people (such as prayer in congregation.) If someone is going to cause discomfort to another person through their smell, they shouldn't be in public places that may distract others or bother them (such as when the Prophet, peace be upon him, strongly discouraged people who had recently eaten onion/garlic from entering the place of prayer, because during prayers, people stand very close to one another, and this could cause discomfort to other worshippers.)
Also, the Prophet was known to carry a comb and a mirror with him on journeys (I would think that signifies the importance of a clean appearance) and also strongly encouraged a pleasing appearance and smell for all Muslims (whether they were alone or in the presence of others.)
I think you are confusing some people who come from eastern countries and unfortunately, sometimes do not wear deodorant, with all "Muslims." I hope that helps, and peace!

Muslims wash at least five times a day. Yes, they use soap and deodorants. Some use perfume/cologne, but like any other group, not all use it.

I am Muslim. Of course I use soap, deodorant and perfume.
From where did you pick your info that we can not use them??
And as some of the answers above said, prophet Muhammed, pbuh, loved the perfume as well as Muslims who invented the soap and perfume.
PEACE.

There are muslim countries (like Turkey, Egipt, Tunis, etc), in with the employees at hotels and restaurants smell badly after a working day, because of the sweat in the heat of the summer. I assumed they are muslims becose 95+% of people in there are muslims.

I asked my husband who is Muslim and he said Muslims use soap, deodorant, and perfume as long as they do not have alcohol in them.

Hey I'm a Muslim.
Of course Muslims can use soap and deoderant! Perfume, however, if it is to attract the opposite sex then it is not permissible. It is important to keep the body clean.
I hope my answer helped you.
Thank you for your time.

Cleanliness is crucial in islam, and necessary to perform prayers etc..the only restriction is when using perfumes,i.e., you are not supposed to wear ones that are supposed to attract members of the opposite sex..otherwise, use of soaps,perfumes, deos etc. are encouraged in islam..

They absolutely can. Infact it's encouraged...
Muslims pray 5 times a day, and for each of these prayers the following is a condition :
1. Cleanliness of the body;
2. Cleanliness of the clothes;
3. Cleanliness of the place (where Prayer is being offered)
The Holy Quran says:
And thy garments keep free from stain
(Quran, 74:4)
Prophet Muhammad )pbuh) advised the Muslims to appear neat and tidy in private and in public. Once when returning home from battle he advised his army:
"You are soon going to meet your brothers, so tidy your saddles and clothes. Be distinguished in the eyes of the people." (Abu Dawud)
"Had I not been afraid of overburdening my community, I would have ordered them to brush their teeth for every prayer." (Bukhari)
“Have a bath on Fridays and wash your heads, even if you are not in a state of Junabah (impurity, e.g. following marital relations), and wear perfume.” (Al-Bukhari).

How do you know which non deodorized person is Muslim, and which is not? Do you go up and ask, "excuse me person without perfume, are you Muslim?"
And, when do you know if you have been standing next to a Muslim that is using deodorant, and perfume? Are you assuming they all look alike in the stereotypical dress you see on Fox news?
