Use blistex and never peel your lips. They are made of skin, just like the rest of your body. You wouldn't peel the skin off of your chest or arms, would you? Water and lip gloss don't hydrate or moisturize your lips. Blistex's medicated ointment in the white tube with the slanted applicater would be best. Use it religiously and DONT PEEL YOUR LIPS!!! Good luck!

The lips don't hold moisture like the rest of the body does. That is why they get dry quickly. And peeling them is really bad, it'll only make the problem worse.

While most people will suggest Carmex or Blistex to help moisturize the lips, I suggest Neosporin's Lip Treatment. It's light, a little greasy feeling to it, but it hydrates and softens quickly. I love the stuff. It works great on my lips, which get dry and crack really bad in the winter.

Before you put anything on your lips, you should exfoliate them, to get the dead skin off, and to help promote faster healing. I simply take a damp washcloth and gently scrub my lips, then rinse, and apply lip treatment immediately after. Since you wear lip shine (or lip gloss) I would steer clear of the stuff until your lips heal.

No, u should not peel it anymore... U have to drink more water and try to avoid licking ur lips. It will make it dry. Besides that,i think u should change ur lip shiner!

Your lip shiner may be drying your lips out. Try a different brand specifically designed to moisturize, or apply moisturizer before you add the lip shiner.

Vaseline during the night; put on thick and stop peeling them. It's just a nervous habit that won't do your lips any good!

Blistex during the day; get the kind with sunscreen and apply all day long! Good luck!

picking at your lips exacerbates the problem. You need to break the habit.

They won't stop shedding as long as your peeling them.

use a medicated lip therapy in the drug aisle

unlike the rest of your skin your lips lack the ability to produce natural oils that help retain moisture. if no over-the-counter products like carmex or blistex work see a dermatolagist
