Yeah, some atheists do attack people of faith. But it's a two-way street. Christians persecute the hell out of atheists, as well. I love having an intelligent theological discussion with my Christian friends, but I will not tolerate being called 'evil', a 'sinner', etc. You are free to believe as you wish. But so do I. And please, don't try and shove your religiousity down our throats. We are all human beings, and can have a calm, rational debate about theology. Not lame attacks against anyone, by anyone.

You are quite the bigot what with your judgemental blanket false statements about people you do not know.
It is NOT an attack to point out how hostile the wording of your question is. Why is it the most insulting so called christians come here and say vile things about people who have rationally thought through the faith quandry and decided that the fable is just too darn ludicrous to believe and then accuse them of persecuting them...
I was once a 'saved' jesus freak but now I know better.
Hopefully you will eventually learn something from people you have yet to meet and eventually you might even see how you are bringing this hostility on yourself due to the way you project your shadow self onto the people you have self selected to see as boogie men.
Why do you see atheists as big bad boogie monsters.?.
If you got to know a few you could learn MUCH!!

Yeah, Christians don't attack atheists at all. The Boy Scouts of America don't let atheists join, but never mind that.

It's hard to resist attacking believers because they leave themselves wide open. A good portion of their postings display terribly irrational thought processes and incoherent writing. When I point these things out, its not because I'm insecure, it's because I know the rules of logic and proper English and think they're really good rules to follow. And it's not my fault they can't defend their beliefs.

Some of us had religion shoved down our throats as kids. When we grew into adulthood & made our on choices on religion we still encountered the Bible thumpers and others, who out of FEAR of the unknown would attack us for our beliefs. And in doing so these folks have taught us well. So it is quite natural for one to retaliate.
Everyone's insecure about something, even those in charge of our country. Look at the world, today! Do you see total PEACE & HARMONY?
I rest my case...

i think of what i'm doing as trying to challenge beliefs, not attacking believers. it is their problem if they can't tell the difference. being defensive can also be a sign of insecurity.

Sweet Pea no one should attack anyone. It is not justified by any belief no matter what you believe. Non-believers attack because they don't understand, but you that do understand the truth shouldn't judge because we as Christians don't have the right to judge. We are sinners saved by grace you will never reach anyone with comments like this. My God shows love to all and so should his followers. god bless!
