If you visit any of the cult sites you will find that there are certain conditions that a religion/cult has to match up with to define just which is a cult and which is not. Isolationism, controlling, apocalyptic and persecution are considered tells that define what is cultish and what is not.
Wicca, Wiccans and Paganism are not cults because we don't isolate our members, they are free to do as they wish. We do not profess a belief that there is an End of Days in our future and we don't profess to be persecuted unless as religious members we are treated unequally. I've gone to a cult information site and pulled these conditions that are used to determine a cult.
Your religion is right and ours is wrong. (Persecution)
No one should try to understand any religion but yours, since yours is the true religion. (Isolationism)
If you don't believe as we do you will go to hell. (Controlling)
The End of Days will soon be upon us and you are either a Christian or lost! (Apocalyptic)
Is Christianity a cult too? Wicca, Paganism and Witchcraft is so far from being cultish it is pathetic. We don't do missionary work, we don't go out after members and many just want to be left alone, as long as our religion isn't denied the same equal rights as the others!
Maybe someone should warn you that your name Lady Saphira is very Wiccan. The title of Lord or Lady is confered on High Priests and High Priestesses.

Yes, Jesus Loves me, Yes I believe there are aspects of Wicca, that you can misinterpret as being, as you say EVIL. But that can be said for all Religious Faiths, and Beliefs. For all have done wrong to Others. That is because you and others, are blindly following what you perceive to be true.
I have Friends of all faith's, and I would ask you to open your heart/mind to viewing everyone, as your Family Member. The fellowship and understanding would bring about such a piece that you could not imagined, if people would just stop JUDGING OTHERS. Blessed be to those who seek Comfort and Understanding.

you do realize that some of your fellow "christians" form cults, don't you? you do realize that some of those saying that they are spreading the gospel are nothing but power and money hungry hypocrits, don't you? i'm sorry, but people can only be converted by the power of the holy spirit, not by anything that any man can do. have you really become so deluded and righteous that you feel the need to cater to those that aren't spiritually sick? take a look within your own faith community and open your eyes to how many of your own people are hurting and aren't truly saved. pray for those people, they are a lot more willing to hear you and you might actually "save" someone. as for me, i'm not wiccan but i am pagan. i have been a christian in the past. i have seen people slain in the spirit. i have seen people speak in tongues and heard people give prophecy. i have been prophesied over. i have had the anointing of the holy spirit attempted to be pushed onto me. in all that time, i felt nothing but guilt and shame for every thought in my head and suffered through spiritual darkness. after all of that turmoil, i can proudly say, i am far happier and content being pagan.
furthermore, you have no right to call anyone evil for their beliefs. only the holy spirit can convict someone of their sins. no man is in the place to judge another or call them evil. remove your own plank first.

I think wicca sounds more like a crock than a cult. But Christianity fits the definition of a cult too. So why should we believe you?

All religious things are essentially cults, but wicca is a lot less of a cult than the one that's got you spewing nonsensical propaganda.

wow...so sad. Thank you for epitomizing why I left Christianity for paganism; people aren't as closed minded. I find it impossible to believe that a deity could be so conceited as to punish all who do not believe in him in the exact same way. Hopefully you grow as an individual and learn to represent your belief system in a more intelligent way...or convert to a more productive one. Good luck
