I must begin by stating that I am a person of no faith! I live alone; it was a Tuesday, and I had been watching the "Today" show as it was my day off from work, but it was nine o'clock, and I had obligations so was about to turn off the TV and leave when Katie Couric announced that a plane had flown into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Immediately, I abandoned my intention to leave and resumed watching, at first believing that a small plane had inadvertantly crashed into the building. Thus, I was sitting before my tlelevision when a second plane came into view upon the screen. Originally, I thought (still naive, obviously) that it was en route to land at one of the New York City airports. Therefore, I was stunned to see the plane fly directly into the South Tower, exploding in a huge fireball, at which point Katie Couric said, "This is a terroritst attack!" Shortly thereafter, the NBC correspondent (Jim Mikleshevski -- ?sp.) stationed at the Pentagon reported that some sort of catastrophic event had transpired there, and then there was video of the flames and destruction at that facility. Not long after came the news of a commercial plane crash near Pittsburgh! At that point, I began to think that the end of the world was at hand, and I was feeling very alone! When the day's happenings had finally come to an end after I had remained mesmerized before my TV while the towers collapsed and the chaos in New York City continued seemingly endlessly, I had the strangest sense that god (if existent) should have prevented that horrific occurrence. It seemed to me that the god of Christianity, had it been the religion of truth, would have prevented Muslims from perpetrating such destruction upon the United States of America. In time, my immediate response dissipated, but I can recall how alienated I felt in those moments. And, I was much consoled eventually when both of my sisters, who lived far from me, called that night to discuss the abhorrent circumstances and commiserate, because we were all as Americans irreparably damaged by the events of September 11th 2001.

If you are talking about the faith in God, of course not. People need to understand that natural evil does exist and people need to be so careful to point the finger at God and blame him. Why is it when bad things happen we blame God instead of Satan? Satan is the one who was puffed up with pride and wanted to take over Gods Kingdom. He is the one who deceived mankind therefore we all suffer in sin. Why should my faith weaken? If anything it became stronger. Jesus said in this world you will have trouble but remember He has over come the world. BE ENCOURAGED AND PLEASE DO NOT LOOSE YOUR FAITH.
GOD BLESS!!

For me personally I think it would take a lot more than that to weaken my faith. Actually if there was a lot more disaster happening than that it would probably strengthen my faith.

Quite the converse.Studying geopolitics and eschatology for several years proved how real the illuminati is[not only on 9/11,but all the staged wars of the past 231 years,as well as all major terrorist events].

No, actually 9/11 had no effect on my faith. I was only starting 7th grade at the time.
What really got me was when the war in Iraq began near the end of 8th grade... for some reason I took it very personally and it shook my faith for a bit but then I was stronger than ever.
It wasn't until I started thinking for myself and asking questions in high school that my faith finally crumbled.

Not in God, but in my trust of mankind in general. I had taken many things for granted, freedom and feeling safe from attacks by other nations. It did leave me with a sense of great sadness. My faith in God helped to restore my trust in the fact that people are overall great.

Not in God. It did fracture my faith in our government. All the firefighters and EMT's on site that subsequently came down with lung cancers and black goo coming up , were denied treatment... They did their jobs courageously and got screwed. That really stinks. Kinda just like our troops coming back from Iraq. The VA really stinks too.

No, it only strengthened it. I woke up that morning & wondered who had changed the channel on the TV. I thought I was watching some SCI-FI movie. so, I changed channel. Oh, my stars, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I ran the dial with the remote & it was on EVERY channel. It took me a few minutes to realize that this wasn't one of my wacked out dreams. Yep, it was real. All I could say was, "WOW!."

no. It only strengthened it. It only served as a fulfillment to the prophecy in the bible about signs of the last days as found in the book of Mattew 24:1-8, "Departing now, Jesus was on his way from the temple, but his disciples approached to show him the buildings of the temple. 2) In response he said to them: “Do YOU not behold all these things? Truly I say to YOU, By no means will a stone be left here upon a stone and not be thrown down.”
3) While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”
4 )And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet.
7) “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8) All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.
That was more proof that God's prophecies are accurate and reliable.
