And here all this time I thought we lost tails through evolution. I guess there's sects in Darwinism too.

The medical statistic book is a bit long in the tooth that I used for this answer. However, 1 in a 1000 births of human children have a tail at birth. Usually the doctor deliverying the child snips the vestigial tail and bandaids the small wound before the mother ever sees it.

I like your question. Ive never thought about tails. But the more I think about it, they would really come in handy. Oh what fun I could have with a tail! Monkeys bars would be even more fun too! I want a tail that is strong enough to balance on and flexible enough to swing on. So like a kangaroo/monkee tail I guess would be good for me. :o) No pig tails of course. Or rat tails.

Yea dude, then I could hang from trees with my tail. And I can ninja people too.
But its not too far from reality, sometimes people are born not with a tail, but a flap of skin right where the tail would be on the tail bone and it is longer then thicker like a tail. But it is far too small and doctors cut it off when the baby comes out.
