My 18 year old brother got really really drunk at a party, passed out in a closet in someone's basement. When the cops came he wouldnt wake up, so he got sent to the hospital, where the doctors called our house at 3 am and my mom had to go pick him up. This happened in June. Im kinda worried because after that he hasnt been the same. He yells at me a lot and cusses me out. He doesnt care about anything! Im almost 15 going to be a freshman and i want to talk to him and tell him that what he did was wrong and hurt his girlfreind (well now his ex) and his family that loves him. Any tips?

Sounds to me like your brother has a drinking problem. He is always angry because he probably needs a drink. Also he probably lashes out because he feels guilty. He knows he has a problem and is hurting the people he loves but just can't figure out how to deal with it.

My brother was also acting the same way for a long time and we didn't know why until he died from a drug overdose. Then we figured out why he was always so angry, because he was always looking for his next fix..

Unfortunately whether addicted to drugs or alcohol. It consumes your every thought.

Just know he does love you and your family, he is just not in a good place right now.

If I were you I would tell him everyday that you love him and hope he realizes his problem and gets the help he needs.

Sounds like your brother experienced alcohol poisoning and it damned near killed him. Be thankful he lived, remind him everyday and try not to make the same mistake yourself.

He knows he hurt people
the yelling is partially anger at himself that he can not accept.
Learn and lesson form his actions and make wiser choices yourself.

let him handle his life don't do anything, he needs space to think about the things he did...maybe that is how he is going to learn..
