Okay, I was born a white baby but I guess I naturally get tanned. I have a farmer's tan, where the parts that are exposed to the sun are tanned and the parts that I have clothing on are white. It's kind of weird, and since I am too lazy to tan my whole body all the time, I would rather take away the tan from my face and arms. If I would wear sunscreen SPF 30 every day, would that lighten up the tan, or take it away?

Sunscreen isn't going to lighten up your tan. It will prevent further tanning, however. So if you want that tan to fade then yeah, use sunscreen - but the sunscreen isn't causing fading, it's not allowing the sun to reach the skin. And you should apply sunscreen every 2 hours for it to remain effective.

YES!!!!

You should be using sunscreen.

Your tan is the least of your problems. Tanned skin is sun-damaged skin that can lead to skin cancer.

Sunscreen will stop further damage.

Gradually your tan will fade.

it just protects you from "harmful" rays. The rays that can give you skin cancer etc. I'm almost positive that it doesnt give you less of a tan. I'm about 80% positive.
