Yes, the shot on the magazine cover was done by a pro, but the "photo" for this auction was done using a scanner. This would be a wise move for you, as I see your auctions are all flat items, like patterns or fabric. Using a scanner for these items is incredibly easy and much better quality than a typical "home photographer" can attain.

If you don't own a scanner, shop on eBay or go to www.epson.com and get a full-sized flat bed scanner. I have one as part of an Epson all-in-one printer (RX620) and it's been great.

My guess is she used a 6.0 mega pixel or higher resolution digital camera. She also probably used an editing program to trim the edges of the original.

have yo tried standing the mgazine as straight as you can in the lightest room in the house at the lightest time of day, try with the flash and then try without, also zoom in. play around and see what happens. its all trial and error. let me know how it goes. god bless.
