It's very humid here in the summer.

Spring or fall. Watch the weather: it should have been dry for a few days before you paint and for a few days afterward. That includes making sure that you don't have any kind of 'dew' at night that dampens the surface(s) to be painted. Make sure that you sweep and vacuum the porch before you paint. Also, there is actually 'porch paint:' it's exterior grade and contains little bitty pieces of ground walnut shell, for traction. Trust me, it's there for a good reason and please use it. Nothing worse (well, almost) than slipping on a slickly-painted porch or its steps. If at all possible, don't paint when the sun is shining where you're painting, nor where the sun was just shining: i.e., don't paint a warm/hot surface, the paint won't adhere well nor 'cure' well.

Hummidity will kill a good paint job, I would say more in the fall when every thing is drying out. also if you will set a fan at the startint point facing the end than it will rid of any un wanted moisture and while your painting allow the paint to dry sooner.

wel i wouldn't exxactly say ther is a time of the year that you need to paint your porch but I would say sometime in spring before it begins to warm up to much, but far enough into spring that it won't be raining all the time. or in the fall when it begins to cool down. happy porch painting!!! lol :D

If you can find a dry week in either late September- or late April, those would be good times.
