We can't without Jesus Christ, who is the "Mediator" between man & God, because He IS Righteous and Holy and Just before God. Without Him we are all sinners and we all fall short of the glory of Him who IS Holy & Perfect It is written in Scripture, "our righteousness is nothing but filthy rags to God"
Through believing in Jesus Christ and accepting His death on the cross as the punishment we deserved, He offered Himself and laid down His own life down so that by believing in Him, we would not perish, but could have everlasting life in exchange for the price he paid, and the sacrifice He made to God. Which is God's Forgiveness to whosoever will receive it-it is a free gift.
All we have to do is ask Him to forgive our own sins and "Confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved" Romans 10:9†
Just a matter of accepting His Son's death and punishment in exchange for ourselves, and asking Him to come into our heart and lives, and help us turn away from sin. "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you". James 4:8†
It's that simple. He's done the rest, all we have to do is trust and believe.
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock, whoever hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in..."
Simply by admitting to God that we are a sinner and believing in God's Son who IS Righteous and Perfect and Holy, to save us, and asking Jesus Christ to come into our heart and cleanse us of all sin, He gives us a new heart, and new desires, and wipes the slate clean, and writes our name in "the Lambs Book of Life", so that we CAN stand before a Holy and Just God, without spot or blemish or wrinkle.
And by following Him and trusting in Him to save us, instead of holding onto our own life and trying to do it ourself,He has given us a way into His Kingdom by having been born-again and becoming as a little child. And being born-again, through Jesus we have clean & pure hearts because He lives in our hearts, and we will be presented to God blameless-, and become children of God, set free from sin and it's punishment.
"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, No one comes unto the Father except through Me" John 14:6†
So, to answer your question, "we' can't, that's why we need a Saviour.
Peace †

Through salvation for salvation is the "saving" of a sinner from the righteous judgment of God. However the sinner must appeal to God and seeks forgiveness in Jesus, then the sins are forgiven. He is cleansed. His relationship with God is restored, and he is made a new creature (2 Cor. 5:17). All of this is the work of God, not man. Salvation is a free gift (Rom. 6:23).
We are saved from damnation. When anyone sins, and we all have (Rom. 3:23; 6:23), he deserves eternal separation from God (Isaiah 59:2). Yet, because of His love and mercy, God became a man (John 1:1,14 ) and bore the sins of the world in His body on the cross (1 Pet. 2:24; 1 John 2:2). We are forgiven when we realize that there is nothing we can do to earn the favor of God and we put our trust in what Jesus did for us on the cross (Eph. 2:8-9; 1 Cor. 15:1-4). Only God saves. The only thing we bring to the cross is our sin.
Both God the Father (Isaiah 14:21) and Jesus (John 4:42) are called Savior; that is, deliverer from sin. Remember, it was the Father who sent the Son (1 John 4:10) to be the Savior.

We are all sinners, but through Jesus Christ, we can be saved. If there is a sinner, plus being an unjust person, and never accept Jesus, or God, he has no choice, but to accept his destiny with God's judgement. He has been saved, but He cannot be running around killing people, and not regret it, it just does not work that way. God has judgements, and if you do not fear God, as well as love him, then you may not be on good grounds. I think there are just some really evil people, and that of course would be Satan's work. It is hard to turn your live around and shake Satan's hold on you, but by the grace of God, many people do.

There is only one way=====JESUS CHRIST===. He is the way that God gave us to restore fellowship with Him. We are all sinners without Jesus we are doomed to remain sinners and never be able to withstand the judgment of God. With Jesus we are washed clean and redeemed to God through His blood. We will all stand or kneel at the judgment throne one day my defense lawyer will Jesus and He will tell His Father this one is mine otherwise I would be lost and separated from God forever. How sad there are so many who do not understand or won't believe how easy it is to His salvation and everlasting love.

a little side note before my two cents... is it not interesting that the fruit always identifies the trees?
It is not possible to withstand judgment, our Father only wants what every loving parent wants, His children to know and admit the Truth. Judgment not withstanding, forgiveness overcomes. Once we acknowledge the Truth, it sets us free of judgment... truer words have never been written.

“Because God is holy, He hates all sin; and because He hates all sin, His anger burns against the sinner (Psa 7:11). God manifested Himself from heaven about His high and just displeasure against all restraining of the truth and withstanding of its influence.”

This makes me think about the day that I and everyone else will get to meet God face to face. Except I think it will be more like his face held high and shining to our face hung in shame while we lay on the floor at His almighty feet. I imagine His judgment coming next And how we withstand that... well, I think knowing that we are there with HIM ''the one who walked us throuh this aweful place called earth" and knowing that once we pass through that judgement we are CLEAN and able to enter into heaven with HIM. I dunno about you but I think I could withstand anything for that.

the book of Psalms explains this questions in more ways than one...psalm 11:7....yes it's true we've all sinned and fallen short of His grace, but by no means are we not forgivable...and the punishment is not as grand as it should be for sinners like us...He is a merciful and just God( psalm 7:11) psalm 37:39........great question by the way : )

Isaiah 1:18-20..... “Come, now, YOU people, and let us set matters straight between us,” says Jehovah. “Though the sins of YOU people should prove to be as scarlet, they will be made white just like snow; though they should be red like crimson cloth, they will become even like wool. If YOU people show willingness and do listen, the good of the land YOU will eat. But if YOU people refuse and are actually rebellious, with a sword YOU will be eaten up; for the very mouth of Jehovah has spoken [it].”
Show willingness and do listen........

Jesus promised us everlasting life if we follow him, trust him and except him, he just wants our love as he has loved us.
Yes God will be our judge but Jesus said he will speak for us because he knows our hearts, when Jesus came to earth he made it very clear he wants to have a personal relationship with us.We all have sinned but Jesus said he will forgive all of that if we just ask, that means no matter what you have done he still loves you enough to forgive you of everything, he also says's he will forgive us as we forgive others so it is very important to have a forgiving heart. Jesus can not sin or lie to us so trust in what he says, Our sin is the very reason he gave his life everything you have done is paid for and your slate has been wiped clean when you get saved, he truly set you free!

They can't! Most won't know that fact until it's too late, however.

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
