and i know its because of the end times and all. but i hate to see the world just become full of more and more sin each day. do you hate it to? you cant turn on the news with something happy in it, theres most of the time a murder, war, and hate. im getting so sick of it. as the years go by, there are fewer and fewer TRUE christians out there. thats scary to me.

Don't let the news get you down. The news has an agenda. It does not tell the whole story.

In the desert the people were bitten by venomous snakes and cried out to God. God told Moses to make a bronze snake and lift it up and whoever looked at it was healed from the venom. Jesus used this story as an analogy for himself:
'Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life' (John 3:14-16).

Brighten the corner where you are. Help those around you who have been bitten by the snakes of sin. Point them to Jesus, let them look at his character of love and holiness, so that they can be healed.

You remind me of Elijah in the cave, feeling depressed and telling God to let him die because all of Israel had turned bad and he was the only one left who worshipped God (1kings 19:14). God told him that he had 7000 who had not bowed the knee to Baal (1Kings 19:18) - Elijah was not alone, the situation was not as bad as Elijah thought. So it is in your case. The world may seem very bad to you, and it is, but God has resources and people that you do not see, God is at work in the world, sometimes in an undercover way that you do not see in the news.

I agree with you I was just saying that people are falling away from the bible and falling back on what they want to believe is good and right in their eyes instead of trusting Gods word! I think that God is going to come back real soon. We need to get back to the basics of life just like the song says I would be scared to be telling people that things that it plainly states in the bible are true are false. However even some of our preachers are doing this today. Just because they are afraid they may step on some toes. I'm sorry if I hurt someone but God's word is the final word in my opinion because He can never be wrong! It is very scary that people clam to be something that they are not but only time will show their true colors. But you are right it is very scary!

I sure do love your wordings "fewer and fewer TRUE christians out there". You are making it sound like TRUE Christians are an endangered species. Come to think there were there were so plenty of them back in the old days that the Roman used them as food for the lions.

And I always have to ask, what exactly *are * "TRUE Christians"? How do you know which ones they are, or that there are fewer of them? I thought only God or Jesus got to judge little issues like that.

I have asked this of many Christians, and I get a different answer from each every time I ask it. It makes me wonder.

And no, I don't think the world is getting more sinful, even if I believed in sin. I think you find exactly what you look for, and if you look only for the negative, you shall have it in abundance.

Yes! I also hate it. And God weeps over it, that is the worst, because He created us. And Christians are becoming too complacent as well. Judgement must begin with the house of God. Christians need a wake up call. They are compromising. We can't afford to do that.

Just carry on preaching Jesus Christ and His Word and don't give up. pray for the Church universally. I don't even watch the news half the time. Matthew 24 says it all.

It is true. And the Bible did predict that it would happen. Unfortunately, it saddens me as well. But there is also a sense of hope within me. With each passing day, I know I am getting closer and closer to being able to join my Heavenly Father once again....

I have got another theory for you.

We need a bigger fish tank.

The planet is overcrowded and like a fish tank the amount of waste, in this case carbon dioxide is irritating the people around us and making us more hostile to one another.

If we were fish, I would just get us a bigger fish tank.

You may consider that the end of time but it may just be a bigger fish tank.

Turn off the TV, its worthless anymore. All hate, propaganda and lies. I'm selling mine. If I want to watch anything like a sit com, its all on the web now.

Get out of city life and into the country as much as possible. For the hatred will be greater in the cities. I myself am moving to the deep boonies to get away during these end days.
