they're very fragile. It really depends upon the dog as far as personality goes. Some are very clingy and some are very energetic.

You have no idea how any dog will turn out mixed breed or pure bred, you cannot assume any dog will have the same temperament as the parents just like we do not have the same as our parents. You do not know what you are getting with any dog, a friends bullmastiff attacked people out of the blue, another one died age 2 gastric. How many times do we see on tv children attacked by family pets (how many are cross breeds?) A dog is like a child, love it, nurture it, teach it, discipline it and hopefully your puppy will grow into a friendly loving loyal pet, but you will always get the odd one again just like humans which will be bad through and through no matter what you do, so please will you give it a rest with your "YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING" we never do know what we are getting be it husband, child or pet but all you can do is try your best,

Yorkshire Terrier is it's own breed.
"Yorkipoo" is the product of backyard breeding. Nobody can tell you how such a dog will turn out, as it's a mixed breed. However, being the product of puppymilling/backyard breeders, you are looking at both serious health and temperment issues.
Of course, the shelter is full of backyard breeders' products-many of which are healthy and have been evaluated for temperment by an animal behaviourist.

you do realize yorkipoos are simply a mixed breed dog? As a mix, there is no "standard" one can go by to know what they look like nor what their temperament is.
Do a search on the www and find websites for yorkshire terriers......don't be lazy and rely on others...put some effort into your research yourself.....

I have over 40 years experience as a dog owner and have to say my Yorkie is the smartest, most loyal dog I've ever owned. My Shorkie (Shih tzu/Yorkie mix) is very similar. Get a full blood Yorkie if you can. They do not shed.

I think there's nothing wrong in you wanting a mix breed dog. It's great, lots of mixes make great pets. But do realize these kinds of mixed breeds do not come from reputable breeders. They come from people who have found a name to slap on a mix breed dog so they can get breed prices. It's a rip off, nothing more than a money making scheme to hoodwink unaware buyers. There are plenty of really great mixed breeds that make great family pets. Instead of getting ripped off, please consider saving a life instead. Please consider looking here first......
