No. Not selfish at all. Obviously something is missing in your life. If you don't want for money, good health or great family, maybe it's a relationship with God you long for. We're all made in His image. If you have any heart at all, sooner or later you begin to wonder about your spiritual side and ong for that missing relationship. Sounds strange, I know. But it's true.
When you have a moment alone, get real quite and have a talk with God. No fancy prayer stuff. Just a heartfelt one-on-one. Ask Him what's going on. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. That's how a lot of great relationships with God get started.

You and I are going through similar life circumstances. I am also depressed right now (chemical) and it's really tough to see any brightness in the future. I'm only on R&S to pass the time and as a distraction from my hopeless existence.
I just try to count my blessings as best I can and know that God is allowing me to suffer so that He can teach me to be more like Christ in some way.
I hope that helped.

Depression can be physiological and something you have no control over, so no, it's NOT selfish. In many cases it can be treated, but sometimes not.
The best thing you can do for yourself is to surround yourself with people you love.

No. Everyone feels down once in a while. We wouldn't be human if we didn't. Yes there are others that might have it worse but why should your feelings be less accountable than theirs?

I think you're suffering from the "Human Condition". And if it IS Selfish- then we're ALL guilty of it- at one time or another. Give it up to God (pray to him)- & let HIM take care of it (just remember; Be CAREFULL what you ask for... How he takes CARE of it- may come as a Surprise!!!). :)

Sure it is normal. Everyone has their inadequacies and things that aren't going well in their lives. Just don't dwell on it. Chin up, and move on. Only you can make your life how you want it, and all you have to do it take action.

We are all human, we all get negative feelings sometimes. It's important to remember that there are many people that are worse off than you.

depression comes from feeling sorry for ourselves when we don't get what we think we deserve or want. It's a very selfish emotion.
