Technically it's not racist, its prejudice.
The problem is that you are going by what you heard and haven't read it for yourself.

Ok, let me break this down for you -
First of all you apparently haven't spent much time learning about this religion since you don't know that it's spelled Allah. That leads me to believe that you aren't looking into this for yourself but letting other people do the thinking for you.
Second, as with ALL religion there are reasonable people who have their beliefs, rituals, superstitions, etc., who are perfectly normal respectful citizens who go about their business and do not bother anyone. This is true of Christianity, Islam, Judiasm, Hinduism, etc., name a religion.
Third, in ALL religions there is a segment who are violent, radical lunatics who are both ignorant, superstitious and egomaniacs. These people are stupid, unstable and dangerous. These are the people you should hate if you are going to hate anyone.
Fourth, the people in the third category are usually people who are poor and ignorant and being exploited (used) by their 'leaders'. These people ('leaders') don't actually care about religion, politics, whatever, they just want power. These people are scumbags. These are the Osama Bin Laden's of the world. If you want some people you would be justified in hating, it's this category.
I hope this helped. If you want to understand more, and you should if you plan to go around hating people, you should educate yourself on the subject. Knowledge is power. Know your enemy.

Well if you look at it all religion they hate/dislike each other because they want to be the right one. Plus there has been many wars and battles started by many religions. The problem is socilization, they grow up around crazy a** people doing crazy a** things so that is their norm, and every thing else is a deviant.
I dont blame you though, its hard not to like a group of people because of some stupid ****, but you just have to remember if they grew up in Am. they would be totally diff. thats all it is, socialization, and people not caring about it.
religion is a mojor problem it causes closemindedness, and many other problems like slowing down the advances of some science.

You are mislead by misinformation. There are 2 Muslim bibles. The Qu'ran is proper just like our Bible. For they are from the same G_D, YHWH.
But just like us, they have a bad version too. And that is the version the terrorists use and claim to follow. Just like we don't like Mormons or Jehovah Witness's for creating their own bible.
Don't hate the masses due to the few bad seeds. And ignore the news as they fuel the flames for this hatred. Just like they did in every other war, hate the enemy, they are evil, they are wicked, hate them, hate them.
Then after the war we end up being friends. Why hate to begin with when its a lie?

Umm...well, Christianity tells you to 'feel sorry for' people of other religions, so technically their religion is as racist as the Muslims' religion...
But yeah, if you look at them all as simply a group and say, "I dislike Muslims as a group", you ARE being racist. If you say, "I dislike THIS person" or "I dislike some of their customs", no, you're not being racist.
Any-one who dislikes someone based on their religion or whatever is racist. You have to look past that at the PERSON. If you dislike their society...fine. You're not the one living in that society. But you can't say you dislike Muslims.

No, you are not a racist. However, you do not like the teaching of the Islamic Society. "We all, as humans have the right to decide, and be offended by some religious practices." You are human. What you do not want to do is display hatred, towards people with different beliefs.

No, The radical Islamic movement gloss over the admonition in the Muslim Holy Book, That they are to respect Jews and Christians as they are People of the Book. They are people who follow prophets and holy books that preceded the "true" prophet, Mohammad and his writing's They are rather off putting as most people have an aversion to killing people. So I would say it's not racist to hate murderers, People are just funny that way.

I wouldn't call it racism, but of course it is probably considered intolerance. Either way, I think it might be simply because of a misunderstanding. I hope I can clear up some of what you've heard (because I myself am a Muslim) and then of course, it's up to you to keep your views or change them. :)
In the Muslim holy book, called the Qur'aan, the mission of a Muslim is actually simply to worship God alone (and not to associate any partners with Him.) This first and foremost means that they must be a good person themselves before trying to preach and teach other people about right and wrong. Of course, actions speak louder than words, and because humans have weaknesses, some people will speak up and say what another should and shouldn't do and they may not be a great example of what they are preaching themselves. I ask you to please overlook those shortcomings of all people you run into. However, as far as what God tells us to do, it is to be absolutely respectful of all of humanity and all of creation, regardless of their race, religion, status, age, gender, relation to us, etc. Our purpose is to please God through our good actions to others and forcing others to believe what we believe is considered ignorance. God says it is simply up to us to try and convey the message of One God, and it is up to Him to guide after that (we have no power to change a person's beliefs, so we are asked not to even worry about it.) As far as what we'll be accountable for, it is simply how well we as INDIVIDUAL beings did our best to be good people and then of course call others to good. The only reason that we are told to ask others to do good and discourage them from things that may be harmful for them is simply because it means that we are looking out for the best interest of another human being.
We are definitely not asked to hate all other religions. I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lived his whole life amongst Jews, Christians and idol-worshippers and he lived among them peacefully (unless and until the two opposing sides officially declared war, or something of the like.) In everyday life, they lived amongst one another and together in tolerance. The Prophet was extremely harrassed, but he didn't retaliate, instead, he tried to be patient and ignored the harrassment. We, as Muslims, are asked to follow his example. Of course, not all Muslims are the living example of what Islam teaches, but I'm sure we try our best. If we were the "ideal" Muslims, we'd never judge or put someone down for their beliefs. God says in the Qur'aan that if we come across a person who doesn't believe what we believe, we simply say to them that they do not worship what we do and we do not worship what they do, so to them is their religion and to us is ours. Simple as that. There is nothing hateful about that, and afterwards, a person should go on with their lives.
I hope that this helps clear some of the misconceptions you may have come across, and if some Muslims are not tolerant of you, maybe they have forgotten what God tells them. It's human nature to put our own emotions first a lot of times. You can kindly remind them if you have the patience and if not, then at least you know that this is not what God teaches in the religion. It is simply the wrongful practices of some people.
And peace to you. :)

I think the real issue here is where you get your information, how you verify it, and what judgments you make as a result.
Be more diligent to find truth. Be less inclined to judge your fellow humans, especially millions of them.
Do you want to be part of the solution or just another part of the problem? Build bridges, don't burn them.
Peace to you and peace to your perceived enemies.

No, racism would require discrimination of a race.. not a religion
Strudds:
Racism is discrimination of races, not of religion. It is not splitting hairs. You just want more shock value so you go with the ugliest word you can find, there are plenty of other words that have just as much shock value, please do some research instead of redefining words that already have a particular meaning. The funniest part of saying that anti muslims are racist is that you become the one being racist by insinuating only one race is muslim.

If you don't have anything against Muslims then why worry about them? Muslims aren't taught to hate by the way...it's just a few bad seeds and the media that gets people to think they are.
