Hi yall. So im looking at get a small dog in about a year for my birthday like i got my one got when i turned 11. I would like to know what breeds you would recomd? They CAN NOT NOT NOT!!!!! Be poodles or Chwawas(cant spell AH!) Or my mom would kill me. (I need a she)She'll be an inside dog because i already have 3 inside/out pets(thats teh limit in my subdiviosin)
I would like to take her on trips with me. I already have a Large 120 or so pound dog called Starr. Starr is a rotwiler/dobermend mix. And if i can get her from the pound thell pay one of the clincs here for her spaying. And its not the one my fam knows and trust really much like the other one we use(heck they know us). But last time i got an animal from the ound was my 2(or 3(i forget)) Kitten named Dippy and they didnt sew her up right and she was leaking oozey discharge all over the house for a week.

So what would you recommend? Oh and shell have to be "fed" to my moms cat. Dont ask. Scooter wont eat her. (cont'd)

Scooter will just go on and fight with my Dippy like always or just lay on my desktops key board and get hair in it.

And i also need a SUPER cheap dog carrie with a sholder strap so i can take her around town. And i can carry with one arm about 11-15 lbs(idk). Because thats how much my dippy wieghs but if she gains more ill probly have to use more dance muscles. Haha.

Okay, my opinion of small dogs that you absolutely HAVE to have - you sound like a glamour person! :) :) :) Loooove it! :) :) :)

Great Dane - Just Kidding! :)

Havanese - playful, friendly temperament which is unlike many other toy dog breeds. It is at home with well behaved children and most other pets, and is rarely shy or nervous around new people. Clever and active, they will often solicit attention by performing tricks, such as running back and forth between two rooms as fast as they can. They are very lovable. It is a very people oriented dog. They often have a habit of following their humans around the house, even to the bathroom, but do not tend to be overly possessive of their people, and do not usually suffer aggression or jealousy towards other dogs, other pets or other humans.

Bichon Frise - feisty, sensitive, playful, and affectionate. A cheerful attitude is a prominent personality trait. Most Bichons enjoy socializing with people and most dogs. They dislike being left alone. Bichons may be relatively stubborn, but are also said to be patient. They may tend to nip gently in play. They may have sudden bursts of energy resulting in the "blitz" or "buzz", where they race around in circles.

Maltese - While under seven pounds, the Maltese seems to be without fear. His trust and affectionate responsiveness are very appealing. He is among the gentlest mannered of all little dogs, yet he is lively and playful as well as vigorous.

Papillon - Happy, alert and friendly. Neither shy nor aggressive. They go through an "Ugly Baby stage," in which they lose much of their baby fur and grow in their adult fur. They will love every person in your family, but they will still attach themselves to one particular person, probably the one that feeds it.

Pomeranian - Weighing between three and six pounds, they aree generally a healthy, hardy, and long-lived breed. Poms often live 12–16 years! The Pomeranian is a very active dog who is intelligent, courageous, and a loyal companion. These dogs can be trained to also bark on command, otherwise they rarely use their vocal cords.

Pug - even-tempered breed, exhibiting stability, playfulness, great charm, dignity, and an outgoing, loving disposition. (They also snore when they sleep - cute but annoying...)

Shih Tzu - outgoing, happy, affectionate, friendly and trusting towards all.

Silky Terrier - keenly alert, quick, friendly, responsive. They can often be too curious for their own good as well so watch out!

Yorkshire Terrier - bold, intelligent, indepedent. This dog is a fine example of a little dogs thinking like a Great Dane!

P.S. Wow, people can be pretty evil... I think that if you are willing to take care of your dog, you are ready to have another dog. Rescuing and loving animals is wonderful. I am the owner of five dogs, a cat (Two in October), and two previous hamsters (who died in their three year old age believe it or not - they are only supposed to live for a year!) Good Luck! If you are ready for another animal, by all means follow your heart (just don't forget to love you other animals as much as you do now! :)

I suggest not getting a dog.

First you are at your owning limit. I'm pretty sure that's going to include any future pets you get, with the exception of fish or small rodents.

Second, sounds like you may have enough on your hands, and you don't really want to take the time to train this dog.

In all honeslty it sounds more like you want an accessory than a dog.

Doesn't matter, you are still at your limit. And how fair is that to dog to be stuck in the house all the time or shoved in your purse.

GROW UP!

I would suggest a miniature pincher. They are great companions, easy to train, stay small and love to go places and play. Their hair is like eye lashes and they do not shed a lot.( mostly seasonal winter coat and summer coat) They come in a variety of colors.Including the same markings and colors of your rot. They have been confused with ankle bitters but they are not as small. Min pins are a little bigger and have a much more defined muscle tone and body structure. I breed Min-Pins and would never give up my little champions. They are not cheep unless you buy a dog with no papers and a very poor blood line. remember you get what you pay for.
In all fairness it is possible to find a wonderful mutt at the pet rescue near you at a fraction of the price of a purebred ,AKC,good blood line dog.
The choice is yours. you can also search at
www.akc.org
to find a good breed that will fit your needs.
Good luck.

Okay, if you're already at your animal limit, don't get anything.

What's wrong with your current dogs? Not small enough for you to put ridiculous-looking clothes on and tote around town in a bag, as-if the dog was a Barbie?

You're going to feed a dog to a cat?

Yeah, so...how about taking an English class, instead of getting anymore pets? Then, when you're out on your own, and not over city animal limits, come back, and we can have a more Americanized chat, en Ingles por favor.

Edit: IAMS is crap food.
Thanks for asking, but you sound like a spoiled brat who does not seem to realize you are OVER THE LIMIT of dogs. Your local humane society can take away animals, if you are over your limit. Keep within the limit. Love the animals you have, and stop wanting to show-off to all of your teeny-bopper friends.

get a Min Pin (Miniature Pinscher)

They are fun, loyal, loving dogs. A little hyper when young but they come around when they are older.

They have short hair and are easy to clean and dry. Their hair never gets tangled or smelly and you don`t have to spend extra money taking them to a salon.

They have a beautiful ,muscular, streamlined and balanced body. They get along with other dogs.

I have two Min Pins, male and female, two male Rottweilers and one mut (male) that I rescued from the street and they all get along well. The Min pins personality is so exuberant and fun.

In Amazon you can find a little back pack kind of doggie carrying bag for dogs up to 20 lbs. Actually it is a front pack, like a back pack but the pack goes in the front.

How about a minature fox terrier? You can look them up on Trademe under foxie, foxy, fox terrier, fox terriers. They are about the same size as a big cat or just a little bigger. They are smart, loyal, energetic, make good guard dogs but don't bark all the time, easily trained, love cuddles, love walks. They are usually around 7.5 kilos

I like Silky Terriers
They are between 8 to 12 pounds
I would keep her hair short
You are able to take her side

Manchester Pinscher are 7 to 12 pounds
Pomeranian are between 3 to 7 pounds

I would suggest a Boston Terrier. They are great little dogs. And they have a big dog personality so it would get along fine with you rot/dobe mix. Look on www.petfinder.com check out local shelters and rescue groups on there. And good luck

I think that you should try a cavalier king charles spaniel. They are mellow lap dogs and they get along with cats(I have one and we leave him at my grandparents house and they have a cat). They are small and mellow enough to be in a car for a long period of time with pit stops.

I hope this helps!

Pomerainians are small dogs, as are Welsh Corgies. All dogs bark, even my teacup chuhuahua, its just that one has to be close to hear him.
