I am not Muslim nor am I into the naming game. If I were to name my house, and bearing in mind I am not Muslim, I would name it Shaminanar ( apologies for spelling) which I think means 'Shelter'.

Why would any one need a name for their house? and please dont say "Muslim names" because i don't know any muslims who name their houses (i being one of them) so people are getting the wrong idea of Muslims. Islam doesn't say anything about naming your house.

I have a response... What? I have never heard of this. You need to be more specific. Most names of my Muslim friends and family are cultural... not religious. I suggest you consult your Koran.

I like the arabic name "VEFA" for a house.
It means loyalty, faithfulness, being true to one's word, fidelity, truth, loyalty, adherence, constancy, trueness, truth.
If you are doing something, what you have promised or for giving back a kindness you received, we say that you are paying your "vefa debts". It also means friendship and beeing connected by love.
