What's the most embarassing way to die that you can think of?

Here's my nomination:

Pet camel kills Australian woman while apparently trying to have sex.

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) - An Australian woman was killed by a pet camel given to her as a 60th birthday present after the animal apparently tried to have sex, police said Sunday.

The woman, whose name was not released, was killed Saturday at her family's sheep and cattle ranch near Mitchell, 600 kilometres west of the Queensland state capital Brisbane, state police Detective Senior Constable Craig Gregory said.

The 10-month-old male camel - weighing about 150 kilograms - knocked the woman to the ground, lay on top of her, then exhibited what police suspect was mating behaviour, Gregory said.

I'm at a loss as to where to post this question, so I thought that R & S was as good a place as any, as some of the content deals with death and the afterlife.

I can't but help think of the scene in the movie "Beeltejuice," where Michael Keaton is waiting to be called up by his caseworker while sitting next to a guy dressed in "explorer" clothing who has a shrunken head and another (grossly obese) guy who appears to have died choking on a large piece of food.

Vajranagini: Your story reminded me of a story I read about one of my favourite writers, Philip K. Dick, a man who dealt with a lot of deep philosophical issues in his fiction. He apparently went to the garage, got in his Volkswagon, and started his engine. He also overdosed on his high blood pressure medication and drank a lot of red wine. Somehow, the wine counteracted his blood pressure medication and his car, never in very good running order, stopped shortly after he passed out. He woke up with a bad hangover and a feeling of deep depression that he couldn't even commit suicide properly.

Those of you in R & S who haven't read Dick, should. He's very interesting.

minetta: That's a sad story. Something similar apparently happened in Texas; the killer got the death penalty.

Ugh that's pretty bad... also my dad once told me this story about a guy who climbed a telephone pole then decided to take a leak... he got electrocuted by the wires! Imagine reading about that in the papers...

One guy, a wrestler from some foreign country, won some big competition in America. He was suspicious of the paper money though, so he had it converted into gold and wore his winnings around him in a belt. On the way back to his country, his ship started to sink. He refused to take off his belt, and it drowned him.

Some guy also died from a falling turtle... some bird dropped it on his bald head cuz he thought it was a rock.

And... a bullfighter once dived out of the arena to escape the bull and was impaled to death on his own sword.

WE Had a Little I2 Yr. old Girl Here in Fla. That was Raped and Buried in a Garbage Bag, " Alive," Not too Long ago. To Me, That was the most terrible Thing a Human Could ever do! And embarassing by far, 'cause it was practically next door! Even The Blood Hounds missed finding her > Before and after Buriel. Such a Tragic Scene. (The door to her home was left unlocked.)

there was a guy who had just came back from the Persian gulf War who had not seen his wife in awhile. so he tied her to the bed naked and he dressed as Superman. He climbed up on the dresser and was going to jump of the dresser and save the damsel in distress. He slipped fell hit his head and died. Rember she is tied to the bed. Has to yell for help so the firemen had to find her and find him. It was a sad story.

Well, a movie actress, Lupe Velez, ended up dying in a VERY embarrassing fashion: she decided to commit suicide, so she "set the stage" very carefully, she was dressed in her most beautiful nightgown and she had it all planned that her "death scene" should be "glamourous". So she lay down, arranged everything and started guzzling booze and swallowing pills., then lay back on her pillows to die...then a short time later, she felt all NAUSEATED, and got up to go vomit, and on her way to the toilet, she lost her balance, tripped, fell facefirst with her head in the toilet, and DROWNED like that...and THAT'S how she was found! Pret-tee damn'd embarrassing way to die, if you ask me!

A recently divorced man in my neighborhood was murdered...by a dude he picked up that evening...while he (dead guy) was dressed as a woman. I couldn't help but feel for him, knowing that while the life was slipping out of him, he would be found like that.

going fishing sooner or later, hooking one and suffering to drag it up, yet once you eventually be in a position to drag it up the fish is going flying in the air, and resorts itself on your throat. when you consider that no one is around, you suffocate to death... choking on a stay fish... (I observed it on a coach as quickly as and concept it replaced into humorous in a tragic style of way)
