It sounds like the contact lens thief has struck again!

Seriously, I wonder if when people go into REM sleep (rapid eye movement) if that is what causes the problems of contacts popping out, or get out of position in the eye?

Wet your eyes, either through your own tears or eye drops. They'll be easier to take out once they're wet.
You seem to be unsure though of whether they are in there or not, so I guess my question is, is can you see like you normally do when they're in? If yes, then they're still there. It's very unlikely that they would have fallen out in a nap anyways.
So just try wetting them and taking them out. Best of luck.

When I sleep with them on...it's hard to tell that they are there also. They are also harder to get off when I sleep in them. I'd just try getting them out because they are probably super stuck to your eye. That's what happens to me. If you do that...and nothing comes out, then possibly your contacts either came out or moved on the side or top or behind your eye.

I used to have the same problem. I thought that the contact lens went around my eyeball. Well, if you feel something stuck inside, try to roll ur eyes around the room. It will come back rite on. If you don't feel uncomfortable, it probably has fallen off somewhere.

They are probably "stuck" to your eyes. Go ahead and keep blinking and use some eye drops. They are still there, once you get your eyes somewhat wet then you will be able to get them off. Good luck

Put some eye drops to get them moistened--they might just be stuck to your eyeballs becuase of dryness. But don't be concerned, your contacts have nowhere to go but your eyes (that was a fear for me too).

I bet they rolled to the top of your eye. Lift up your eyelids and peek, if the aren't within reach, keep blinking. Try and make yourself cry, they will eventually come out.

It's possible that they somehow fell out. They could be under the eyelid or have rolled behind the eye. Believe me you will feel it wherever it is. If it has moved behind they eye, you may need to go to your doctor.

lol this happened to me. But It was weird my eyelids sort got stuck to them so when I opened my eyes I I couldnt find them. I was kinda freaking out, but I took a shower and my eye itched and BAM! there they were as I rubbed my eye.

They can move off the centre of your eye when you sleep as your eyes tend to roll upward. Pull up your upper lid and down on your lower lid to see if they are there and then just grab them with your fingers - if not...check your pillow...good luck
