Ketchup and Fries are food for sheep. If you ever saw what sort of tomatoes they use to make ketchup?.....you would be off that stuff today. You dont want to know. I dont like Ketchup anyway because it is largely a bottle of sugar and preservatives. NO, I am not a Vegan, I love a good steak and all types of foods....I just despise Ketchup. Is my answer too mean? I hope not.....just got a real ketchup issue. And cross contamination? Dont get me started.

Did you know that the U.S. standard for ketchup allows so many maggots per gallon or whatever? They have set the standards to allow a margin. Thanks U:S:D:A:! If you ever worked in the food industry, you'd never want to eat anything. Years ago, I worked for a PicSweet pea cannery. The no.1 grade of peas had to be scrutinized, because the trash that came in with the peas was boggling...ie..pheasant feet that couldn't get out of the way of the auto pea-pickers, pieces of snakes, rodents chopped up, and worst of all, condoms thrown from speeding cars into the edge of the fields. Talk about gag me with a spoon! I do not eat canned anything anymore, but that doesn't mean frozen or fresh is any better. Then there is the human factor. Dining by candlelight is nice

Well... if the person wanting ketchup is thoughtful, they use a clean knife... Not one that's been used. At least, that's what my family and I do.
I think there's more problems when people don't wipe the bottle or re-cap the bottle with a glob of ketchup on the rim.

You're thinking on a small scale. What about the server that sneezes near the ketchep container in the back...that affects every bottle in the place.
or what about the worker in the factory that has a cut on his hand and touches the ketchup?!
We're going to have a ketchup catastrophe on our hands!!!!
If you're so worried.....why don't you make your own ketchup?
But then you'd have to worry about how the tomatoes you bought for your ketchup were handled....

Most people never think about this. They just feel like they're at home and they are used to doing this. However ketchup is not supposed to be left on the table unrefrigerated. Most resturants do this but it's wrong. They don't care if you get sick, they only want your money! Eat at home. This way you know you're safe from it all.
