The man has been charged with having sex with a minor. This is a criminal offence in any legal system. Charges are being brought because he has broken the law, even if you feel he has not assaulted you. He must've known that what he was doing was illegal. If he's got that number of charges against him he can expect to go to prison for a long time if he's convicted.
I'm sorry you feel upset about this, but laws against this behaviour are in place to protect people like you from being taken advantage of, even if you feel you haven't been.

It's called statutory rape - and the law says that at 15, you weren't old enough for a 19-year-old to have sex with.
At some point, it becomes a law against the state, rather than against you. And with today's laws leaning heavily against men who sleep with little girls, it doesn't look so good for this guy.
If he goes to jail, you need to understand that YOU didn't ruin his life -- he did. There's not a young man in the US who isn't familiar with the term "16 will get you 20" (meaning, sex with someone too young will result in you going to jail for 20 years).

he'll probably get some time. sex with a minor is basically rape though i don't know the proper charge for it. don't be scared for him. he got what he deserved. i don't know but he may have to registar as a sex offender as well. stick with guys your own age from now on and quit having sex. you're to young and this guy new it. he should be castrated.

When you take the stand, you can be what's termed a "hostile witness." This doesn't mean you are hostile, it means you will not cooperate with the prosecution and will remain silent. That's the best way to provide your ex some protection. They can't force you to talk unless they have already made you sign stuff or verbally admit to the sex act.
I hope this all works out for you.

It's statutory rape. You were not of consenting age and he was a legal adult. It depends on what charges he's convicted on. It's up to 20 years but many factors determine it.

UNFORTUNATELY THATS TRUE BECAUSE ITS STATUTORY RAPE. HES AN ADULT AND YOUR A MINOR. BUT MY PERSONAL OP PINION IS THAT IF YOUR A MINOR AND YOU DECIDE TO HAVE SEX WITH AN ADULT THATS YOUR DECISION AND SINCE ITS AGAINST THE LAW THE ADULT KNOWS HE WILL GET IN TROUBLE THEN THATS ON HIM. HIM GETTING IN TROUBL IS NOT YOUR FAULT. BUT IF A MINOR AND AN ADULT DECIDE TO HAVE SEX THEN HE SHOULDNT GO TO PRISON.
