I am allergic to Ginger, makes my throat swell up to the point it could choke me to death. I knew a woman so allergic to tomatoes that she can't even touch her tongue to one without a sever allergic reaction similar to mine with ginger.

I have never heard anyone allergic to potatoes. When you have allergy reactions you can take alot of vitamin C to counteract the problem, especially with hayfever.

If I eat a raw potato, it can make my mouth and lips itch, but that hasn't stopped me. Minor allergic reaction.
I can eat any cooked potato.

Seriously? I've never heard that, but I have a son who's allergic to lettuce. I thought that was bad, but I feel for you. That must be a terrible allergy to endure.
