I need to find a neurologist for a dog with a deterioration in his neck vertibrae that is pinching a nerve that follows into his leg causing him extreme pain, we live in Gardner kansas and need a good specialist that could work out either a small fee or a payment plan, I NEED SOME ONE FAST! This little ****-zu is in extreme pain and if I can't find a specialist fast he will have to be put down, please hurry.

Generally, your regular vet will find you a specialist.

Many specialists will not even see you without a referral from your vet.

Ask your regular vet for the name of a specialist in your area. Their is a neuro specialist in Charlotte, NC but i do not know of one close to you.

I know some marvelous specialists at UC Davis small animal clinic. area code is 707...you can call info, get their number and make an appointment.

Either Kansas State University (KU)or K State has a veterinary program. You might have your vet give you a referral.

have you given him any pain meds?? give him asperin and try gentle massage to releave his pain. if he is over 20lbs try 1 asperin and repeat every 4 to 6 hrs untill you see your vet. i'm sure the vet can help you remember 1/4 asp per 10lbs. best of luck and call your vet soon for help.
