I have just been to Stitches Medals, a medal mounter and supplier of replica military medals. their medals are excellent and I was wondering if anyone else knew where you can puchase medals that are xcellent (not cast) quality for under $25, and also get them court mounted for less than $15 each.. I have no hesitation in recommending stitchesmedals.com.au

handyman, I think you will find this man is from either the UK or Aus, as we CAN wear our families medals after they have passed we just have to wear them on the other side......this is normally done on Remembrance Sunday, with the laying of wreaths thought the whole country

I'm curious why you are recommending a certain source for medal mounting. Personally when I had mine mounted, they were done by a contractor through the Navy Exchange. I would also like to mention that unless you plan to display them as a Collector only that you cannot wear them. Military Medals can only be worn on uniforms by military personnel on active or reserve duty. They can be worn by retired military members when they are authorized to wear their uniforms. Anyone not a member of the military including dependents are not authorized to wear any militay uniform or insignia including medals. Members of the various Veterans organizations are allowed to wear medals with their respective dress for that organization. I realize many people do wear parts of military uniforms and get away with it, however they can be arrested if someone does file a complaint. Personally I would report anyone not allowed to wear military uniforms or insignia.
