A true Christian is a person who has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and who has been given the gifts of faith and repentance.

A person who is a Christian depends on the perfect life, sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to atone (or pay) for his sins and make him righteous in the sight of God.

A Christian is someone who also lives their life under the Lordship of Christ. They do not indulge in sin. Occasionally, they may fall short by sinning, but they flee to Jesus for forgiveness and restoration to fellowship with Him.

Blessings,
Kidd!

Pretty simple.

A 'True' Christian is one who follows the teachings of Christ.

For example, during the Inquisition and the Crusades it was common practice to 'convert' people by threatening their life.

But Christ taught his followers to:

Turn the other cheek.
Be gentle as doves.
& Treat others the way you would like to be treated.

So one cannot follow the teachings of Christ AND convert by the sword.

This would not be the behavior of a 'True' Christian.

Some people go on about interpretation, but truthfully I have never found the teachings of Christ to be ambigious.

People can go on about what exactally a True Christian is supposed to believe, but Christ said it was actions, not beliefs that identify. In the parable of the good Samaritian, Christ says an outsider that shows compassion is closer to God, than the most official priest that fails to.

I tell Christians they should understand evolution, even if they don't believe it.

Liberal Athiests should understand the teachings of Christ, so they don't sound stupid blaming bad behavior on a beleif someone is ignoring.

It varies from person to person. A true christian is a christian who believes the same things as the person who is being asked. For any christian, if a christian believes something different than them, they are NOT a true christian.

It is a fact of the religious. Anyone who doesn't believe the same exact thing as they do, that person is wrong by default because it challenges their own beliefs.

A true christian, simply, is someone who agrees with your own views and beliefs regarding christianity.

If you believe the following you could call your self a Christian.
I. Jesus The Christ is the only son of God the Father.
2. He was born by a virgin.
3. He died and was buried and raised from the dead on the third day. For your sins( transgressions)
4. Without his perfect Sacrifice you can not achieve the restored relationship with God.( you can not work your way into Heaven )
5. Ascended to heaven, now sits at God the Father's right hand.

There are Christians and then there are heathens or non-believers. You are either following Christ or your not. If you are born again (saved) and follow the ways of the Bible through Jesus Christ, you are a Christian. If you don't, then consider yourself a heathen. Some people will use the term TRUE Christian because they are following the true ways of Christ straight from the Bible and not some false religion.

OH DEAR, This a really troubling question for you, isn't it? My first response is: How do you pray? Many people accept god in there own way. My family is Pentecost, however I do not go along with all there beliefs. My friends are Baptists, I do not go along with them either. I married and divorced a Catholic woman. I have numerous friends of other denominations as well. In my heart, I pray everyday to GOD for all the blessings he has given to me. MY child, to let me be safe at 20 to 50 stories high in the air, to come home, and most of all... I thank him for ONE more day to able to do it again. I go to church every Sunday. One of my best friends is a Pastor. I think to be a TRUE CHRISTIAN is to search your Heart and I believe you will find the answer your looking for.

Don't know, a true Christian is just what some people think they are for whatever reasons they have. There are only Christians and anyone that claims that there is such a person as a true Christian is quite delusional.

A true Christian is a person who has put his or her faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ and fact that He died on the cross as payment for sins and rose again on the third day to obtain victory over death and to give eternal life to all who believe in Him. John 1:12 tells us: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Christ. The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

I true Christian is living in God's life. He's ways!!!! You do the right thing and it is important pray to God. The most important is accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. That is the only way to get into the Kingdom of Heaven. It says so in the Bible. Ask God to help you lead in his ways. Live God's rules. Read your Bible, Go to Church, get involved in your Church. Talk to people and ask them to help you understand God's word. So many people have guided me with the Lord and teaching me to be a true Christian. Get books on Christian living. It has always helped me.
