I had rattle snake once.. I thought it was rather weedy tasting.. kinda like a dandelion or something.
I wouldn't want again unless the person convinced me they really could cook it good.
Its not really the rattlers that's venomous is it? It the venom from the fangs thats the killer.

I have no clue what it tastes like, but I have heard it could only kill you if you had an ulcer and drank the venom. Once it enters your blood stream, to my understanding, that s when it can be deadly.
