It will depend on just how much tooth structure has been chipped and where.
If it's directly on the incical edge this tooth may not be able to retain a bonded composite. Some added tooth structure would have to be removed in order to get any retention for a restoration to be placed with any hope of lasting.
Then again, it could be such a small chip that it can be adjusted or filed smooth and the chip not be noticeable to you or anyone else. In some cases it takes sanding both anterior teeth to match.
There are many layers of enamel on each tooth, so loosing some with a chip may not be as bad as you think.
Usually for regular patients, there is no charge for filing or smoothing a tooth. If your in need of a composite bonding, prices vary from city to city and dentist to dentist, but average cost is $100.00-$200.00 depending on the size of the chip or how many surfaces composite will need to cover.
In the meantime, try not to bite into any food until your dentist has a chance to examine you. It's possible that you may chip it further leaving you with needing a crown. I hope I've been of some help and good luck!

Just like everyone else said, depends upon what you have done. However, AmeriPlan has a cheap month-to-month dental plan which would include cosmetic dentistry, so the whole amount would not be out-of-pocket. You can look for providers in your area, as well as the associated fee/discount schedule on-line at www.ReducedCosts.info

Depends on the dentist and the procedure you choose to have, there is more than one way to repair chipped teeth.

If it's just a small chip, your dentist will probably just use a filling. The charge will be whatever your dentist charges for a filling.
It might be cosidered cosmetic. If so, your insurance will usually not cover it.

They may just fill it if its not to damaged.. Cost around a 100 or 200 or less, depending on your insurance. If you wait any longer it will get worse and you will have to get a root canal and a crown witch will cost you 1000$ or more..
