Well that question is very thought provoking. He says thou shall not have any other gods before Me.Thou shall not covet thy neighbour's wife. And if you can give an example of God being a jealous God that would be helpful.Does the bible tell you that?

The seven deadly sins are not from the Bible, they were a classification of vices used by the Catholic Church, possibly started by Pope Gregory in the 6th century. Actually jealousy is not one of them, it is envy. In it's correct usage jealousy is the fear of losing something to another person, while envy is the pain or frustration caused by another person having something that one does not have themselves.
God however is a jealous God. NIV -Exodus 20:5 and Deuteronomy 5:9 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God... Exodus 34:14 "Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God." Deuteronomy 6:15 "for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God..." Nahum 1:2 the Lord is a jealous and avenging God:..." the list goes on.

WEll if you belive the bible word for word than Yahwah isa do as I say not as I do, GOd. If you take it asa parble that was written by fallible peopel adn reinturptreted by toehr falliable peopel, then you cna come up wtih toher conclusions. SOEm epoepl belive that the stoies are meant to teahc us diffnret thigns, or that as socities have matureed so have our spiritual beliefs and understaidng of "GOd". Other poeepl take the contradiciotn sin teh bilbe and CHristain relgion to deicded that there is no "GOd. WHat I think is important is thahow peoepl treat eahc other. Religion can help peoepl think about moral and spiritual issues. ALthough, it has also inspirid much non thinking/ blind obediance.

The 7 deadly sins being envy (not jealousy!) pride, anger, avarice, sadness, gluttony and lust, tell me where & which God ever showed any of these traits?!
I believe in Christ Jesus and He is a "do as i do God"...
Thats just why He came down to earth to live as man & die as man.
He set us a great example of service by washing the feet of his Apostles!

The deadly sins are man-made sins. Would you like to create a great work of art only for someone else to take the credit for it?

No baby, he is not a jealous god. who ever said that is wrong. I believe he just wants us to always do good for our own well being, jealous?, I don't think so why should he be? If any we are the ones who might be jealous of him, he is the one and only and I love him.
OK sweets take care.

it particularly is it. There *are* different gods (with a small g). diverse religions have diverse gods and a few instruct that the guy IS the god. He ought to be jealous. He supplies us lots and asks little or no in return.

God is jealous, not of you but for you. It must make him sad about decisions you make to put a distance between you and Him

God has murdered billions of people throughout human history, according to religion.
He seems more like a "do as I say, not as I do" type of guy.
