hypocritical that people can talk about past life, but also speak of Heaven and Hell. If we assume that Heaven and Hell do exist than wouldn't you not be able to live another life because you would be there for an eternity.

No, you can talk about both. Buddhism has a hell, in fact that religions has many levels of hell just like Christianity, however the Buddhist hell is not permanent, but is still a very long tortuous life. You could also say that nirvana is the dharmic equivalent of heaven, they are both the ultimate goal of both religions.

You are absolutely correct. It is hypocritical for anyone to believe they had a past life, and call themselves Christian. But in their defense, Many Christians, of which I am one, do not have all the knowledge they need regarding their faith. This is one reason for attending Church on a regular basis. In Sunday School and Church, Christians are taught various things regarding the Holy Bible and their faith. So many of us are so caught up in other things, that we fail to get the instruction that we need.

In essence, I believe that Christians who talk about their "past lives," are either ignorant as to their position on the subject, or
they are just joking around.

Well said. That's the idea behind why some Christians find fortune tellers / psychics as evil because most of them talk of a past life. This is not in accordance with Christian religions.

Once you die, you die. You only live once and that's it.
