At a time when kids dont have many heros to look up to...your child found a living, breathing one. One that isnt rappin' about hurting women or animals. Kudos to you and your Marine for doing it right by your kid. By the way......I wish the Corps would have issued me a wife that looked like you when "I" was a Grunt!! Good God Almighty !!!

The fact that a seven year old keeps a journal is exceptional. The entry about his father is a strong indication that he will indeed grow up to be a mureen.

OORAAH! Little Devil Dog! That was me when I was 7 and still am now. We need more kids like these, we need more fathers like these, we need more wives like these or America won't be the same. God Bless those who serve... and those who love them!
Your husband is a hero, I am proud of him, and its kids and wives like these who see him as more than a hero that really make me feel like the service is the way to go.
God Bless you!

Well Alesha, if the picture on your icon is a sample of who you are today. This is one former Marine who would like to be the president of your fan club.

That's cool. Marines are cool.
If I was a Marine I'd love for my kids to be happy for me and want to be a Marine also.

Awwwwww....My husband bought our son a little cammie outfit with the words "USMC Duty Calls" on them. My son wants to wear them EVERYDAY. When I put them on him he says "Mommy, I'm daddy!" I finally had to go buy him more because he was wearing them out!

nice to have a patriotic kid, but as a retired marine who was wounded 2xs in combat and saw some really horrible things in the 14 months i was fighting,, i would not wish that on my kids, my 3 boys are banned from the marines and the army,, air force, coast guard and navy,, thats all i will allow them to serve in,, they know why,, i dont understand why any parent would want their kid to go through the horrors of what i saw, it was awful,, until you see someone crawl on the ground blown to bits and burning to death because that is better for them, then you will never understand,, please understand i dont want my kids to do what i did,, please dont allow your kids to do the same,, i wish you joy,, usmc disabled retired
