take privileges away. For example the 16 yr old can't drive for awhile or earlier curfew on weekends. Extra chores around the house might help. My parents asked me what kind of punishment would help me to learn my lesson.

You don't say if the kids are boys or girls. I say treat them younger than their age warrants. Get out their discarded toys, dolls, and games etc. and have them play with those instead of the ones they like.
Earlier bedtimes for a period. To start with have the eldest in bed first. That should be a warning to the younger ones who could find themselves in bed by 7pm.
Household chores are always needed, don't forget the protective clothing, eg: a pinafore for washing the dishes.
Remind them they are still children and will be as long as they live in your home.
Also remember to reward them for good behaviour and politeness. Maybe a weeks punishment could be reduced to 3 or 4 days.
The same punishment for all will not be fair due to the age difference.

Take the grounding further. Make them sit in the living room on the couch, tv turned off, and just sit there. Take all there things away. Ground them from everything.

take their favorite belongings away (such as tv, cell phone, ipod, computer). The time they have it taken away from is you choice and should depend on how severe you need to punish them.
