I've had cats for years. Years ago I had this girlfriend who liked cats too. I think maybe it's a way of hanging on to her in a way but even before her I've been taking care of them.

because cats have brain washing power and those of us that are more susceptible they turn into kitty slaves , it's OK though because cats are so self absorbed that they mainly use their powers to make us spoil them = P. Seriously though as long as you don't have so many you can't afford to take care of them properly or you are so obsessed that it interferes with your day to day life, then here's to ya , kitty lovers UNITE = ) !

Some people are just cat people, some people like the sensual nature of cats, some people like having a soft fuzzy pet that doesn't need to be walked, or is small enough to keep in an apartment, or any number of reasons. A lot of us just love cats. I guess you're one of us. The girlfriend you had gave you two something in common (cats) but you obviously already liked cats before her--and you can find another girlfriend who loves you and who shares your love for cats. I like cats because they are quieter than dogs, don't take up a whole lot of room, fit real nicely in my arms, their bones don't hurt when you hug them or when they lie against you, they make such a soothing purring sound, they (mine at least) smell good and I don't even have to wash them, I can leave them for a few days and they are fine. The list goes on and on. I like dogs too but I'd have to change my whole lifestyle to accommodate a dog, which I don't want to have to do since cats fit right in purrfectly.

Some people love animals (or cats in ur case) more than others. It is not a problem. It doesnt sound like an obsession...

Cats live for years. It's possible that you just had one or two cats that you've owned forever.

how obcessed? are you a collector? you must stop if you are because it is bad for cats to have too many in the house. 3 is a good cap of how many to have.
