When someone barely grabs my arms or put one finger on my chest, under my throat, it is so painful. It feels like they are touching a bad bruise. Also, when I sleep at night my ears will actually ache from laying on them. It hurts my hips and shoulders too when laying on my side. My grandfather has this but he is 88. I am only 36. It is so painful.

I have fibromayalgia (FMS) and it sounds like you do also. Do your hips hurt? Your shoulder muscles? Are you ALWAYS tired to the point of your very bones hurting????
I have to tell you, I have tried every drug (most make you gain weight) out there and none of them really helped me. The ONLY thing that has helped me since I was diagnosed 15 years ago, is exercise. I know, how can you even think about exercise when you are this tired and you hurt this much?? Believe me though, it works. I recommend swimming b/c weights, or running, or most other forms of exercise can make you hurt worse at first so that you will give up.

So, I started swimming. The first time, I could only swim 3 laps - and that was with resting in between laps. Now I swim 14-16 laps in 20 minutes during my lunch break, 2-3 times a week. And you know what? I actually feel good for the first time in 20 years. Before I started swimming, I would have a day that I felt good maybe 3 times a YEAR! Now, I only have bad days once every couple of months. It has been very liberating. Not only can I work a 40 hour week again, but I actually have a social life again. Swimming gave me my life back.

BTW, FMS and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) are completely different diseases. RA is an immune disorder, FMS is not. Educate yourself.

Best of luck to you.

Fibromyalgia is very painful I know cause I have it. The spots your talking about are pressure points. Have someone use their finger & go down your back on each side of your spine & see if you feel pain. You need to make an appt. with your dr. . Good Luck!
