Microwave Crab

If if is raw crab, definitely don't do it. Crab is so easily ruined by overcooking, and it can be hard to cook evenly in a microwave. If you are reheating something like frozen cooked crab legs, I would wrap it in wet paper towels, and cook it about 30 seconds, and check to see if it is hot. You can always heat it more, but nothing will salvage overcooked crab.

are they LIVE?! You're gonna NUKE live crabs?!?!

If the shells are already orange, they are dead and cooked already, so you're just heating them up. Place in covered m/w safe container w/ a bit of water (like 2 Tbsp) and nuke on high for about 5 min. and check. 3 min may be good for blue crabs, 8 may be needed for king crab.

Please do NOT cook seafood in the microwave.

It only takes a few minutes to boil it properly and microwaving it will turn it into rubber!

You can. But it might be tough. (as in chewy) If you can boil or bake it will turn out better.

You certainly can, but it'll blow up.

You are better off using a pan.
