Very informative, and, complete. I work with the undocumented (family advocate) and other families. This is exactly what the laws are. I would definitely trust it in future issues. However, it does seem to "encourage" people to make up a name and ss number to use at a clinic. I think that is wrong. If I take a family to the clinic, I am sure that they put down actual information. And, most clinics offer a reduced fee, but, ask for 1/2 of it up front.

No illegals will simply obtain better documents if the first set don't work they fall back onto others fully understanding they cannot even be arrested. As for that is what the laws is suppose to be, I felt the law was suppose to be it is illegal to enter America too, but such laws have not slowed down thousands of illegals entering the country daily. I find it alarming illegal advocates are very willing to sacrifice America kids to ensure their illegals have their every demand met while standing by watching American kids go without food and clothing

I noticed the arguments FOR were simply opinions and feelings, while arguments AGAINST contained facts, figures and statistics. If the only argument FOR is on an emotional basis, I'm not sure how any rational person can support that position, although I can see the "emotional" types going for it.
So the answer to your questions are, No, it's not unbiased...if it were there would only be facts involved and NO, I woudn't use the article as it's rather weak.
(By the way, my sister writes for about.com. She's a housewife and has contributed 7 articles that were printed in her local free magazine --- circulation about 1000. It doesn't take a lot to get that credential.)

All people in the USA should get treatment for emergency care, no one should be turned away. If immigrates have to have a affidavit that their sponsor has to sign stating that they will not be a public charge, then that person who signs that affidavit should be held financial responsibly for that immigrates health care cost. Others than emergency care, illegals have no right to be in this country we and are not reasonable to provide health care. I know people that have been born here and are not able to get help, as to them using false or stolen SSN, we are back to the enablers to excuse and encourage the illegals to do whatever it takes to stay and the cost be damn. the tax payers will pick up the tab whether it be in money or in our way of life, overcrowds schools, er rooms or such.

about isn't very good with their dates. I wouldn't use anything that wasn't dated. I had to go search it on the web to find anything that gave me some dates and other references. About is not a proven authority on anything, and if you are writing something for someone, I doubt they would approve this site and rather you to find a more established and trusted name. Which will be difficult enough these days. Good luck.

about.com is about like "wikipedia". Good as an informal source of "learning" about a topic, but don't depend on it for facts. Especially wikipedia. It is notoriously inaccurate. It's only as accurate as the person that put the data in. It's not consistently checked or verified.
And don't even think about using either as a reference in a college (or any other school) paper. You are setting yourself up for a fall.

I thought it was reasonably balanced, but by and large superficial. The issues are much more complex and entertwined than presented, but for 2 pages, it catered to the average readers attention span.
The Tin Man from Oz rates it 6.2

It was just two sides of an issues "against" based on facts and "for" which didn't dispute the facts but justified he rational for them getting services.
You should take Reading Comprehension. By your question of "was it unbiased" it is obvious you didn't understand it.

sounds about right. they act with two sides of their mouth. my sister went to get help years ago, she had to wait 3 months to get help. and illegals walk in there with fake everything and get it right away. any one who knowingly knows of an illegal and gives them assistance is breaking the laws.
