Silks especially imported silks can be very expensive. But it's not just the fabric that can be expensive but also any beading. Handbeading including crystals and custom designs are VERY expensive!

do you want the most exp. fabric just so you can say "my gown is the most expensive fabric"? because that tacky. You need to go with a quality fabric, quality designer, and quality beading or embroidery. and you need to pick a gown you look and feel great in.. not one that daddy has to write the biggest check for.

Dupioni Silk or Silk Velvet. The velvet is the rarest and the Dupioni is coming down in price but they still remain the highest in prices.
