I don't know which is the better deal. Are you better off getting something half price or buying one and getting the second one free?

in fact there is no better deal!!! both equal.
for an example: shop "A" sells sumthing for $50 (half price) and shop "B" sells the same thing for $100 and one free. in this case i dont see any difference, if this is what you meant. can u? if shop B gives u 1 free when buying 1 for $100 means each of it is for $50, same as shop A!
no better deals, just think from a bussiness mind. they always do good for them not for us!

It depends on how much you use, if you use a lot then buy one get one free is the best deal, if you take a long time to use something up then half price is the best deal.

If you get two of the same item that is half price, it's like buying one getting one free pretty much. The only difference is the date on both, so check the expiration date of both half price and the 2-for-1 offer.

Depends on the product and the cost per pound. Say you want to buy 32 ounces of mayo. Next to the mayo is an 8 ounce jar of the same mayo for 1/2 the price of the 32 ounce jar. It also says, buy one, get one free. Which is the better deal? Well, the 32 ounce one would still be the better deal cause you are getting more mayo for the same price, right?

It depends on whether the item is perishable. If you will use two of the item before it goes bad (if it goes bad) then that is exactly the same deal as half price. If you throw some of it away, then you're paying more for the amount that you do use than if you had bought one of them at half price.

It depends upon whether or not you need or can use one or two of the item.

Your cost per oz. (or serving) should be equal either way. But if you will not eat a 2nd box of All-Bran, don't bother buying the first one.

You can always buy 2 of a half-price item....

Something for half price. At least you have the choice whether or not to buy two. The other way you are forced to buy two.

depends on how often you personally use the product, and what the shelf life is. if it's canned or has a super long shelf life, buy one get one and save the second. if it's perishable and you don't use it often, 1/2 off.

its bascially the same thing, but you have toi decide which one is a better deal for you! if you want 2 of the same things... get BOGO but if you only want one then get the 50% off. either way your saving the same amount/its costing the same amount of money.

It depends on how much you need and how often you need it... Try using coupons to save a little cash...
