I don't believe it is a sin but, it is a little over indulgent. I am wondering why you got a Diet Coke. Seems a bit bizarre and then you followed it with a chocolate bar chaser. You have some eating issues that need to be addressed before you end up with a stroke or heart attack. I'm pretty sure that your wife recognizes the fact that you are not following the rules of Weight Watchers so your complaint about not losing weight is falling on deaf ears. Eating the way you do is like planning your own suicide by overeating. How much do you enjoy life? Please think of changing your eating habits before it is too late.

Not until you "complained to your wife" - you were not sinning.
Once you lied to your self about your weight goals then you sinned. Well if this complaint was real, this is important too. If your wife knows you and if your tone is joking - you are not sinning. Just playing with your wife. That's normal.
I'd say give her some extra time and favors and count your blessing for finding such a great wife.

It is not a sin but maybe you might try to eat breakfast that way you won't be so hungry at lunch time. Sounds like once you start eating your system wants you to keep it up. It is a shame what you are putting yourself through.

It is called the sin of gluttony. Sometimes I am also guilty of this sin. I think it is a sin because there are so many people who have nothing to eat. So we might call it a social sin.
"Men can become accomplices in sin and cause injustice to reign by bringing about "social sins." These sins establish sinful structures and institutions which are against God's goodness and cause people to sin."

It'd say it is. Not only is it gluttony, but it's harmful to your health and your marriage. The wifes gotta get sick of that complaining sooner or later.
My definition of sin is any act that causes more bad than good.

Ugh!
It's making me queasy just thinking about eating that much of that slop to begin with. (chocolate bar excluded - especially if it's Cadbury's!)
I think that my digestive system would say yes, it is indeed a sin.

It sounds more like IGNORANCE to me rather than sin. You are not only failed to lose some weight, but, you will also pay dearly in the future i.e. endangering your own health.
