I can go to any Catholic Church in the world, and feel at home.
I can feel the power of prayer and of being one with literally 100s of millions of other Catholics around the world. ("Where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am in their midst.")
Finally, I am constantly healed and strengthened through the Sacraments, instituted by Jesus Christ, particularly the Eucharist.

I am not a Catholic. I have lived in many countries where Catholocism is widespread. I have man "true" Christians in the Catholic church. I do not say this out of spite, but it seems to me that much of what I know of Catholic dogma can not be supported by New Testament scripture. Forbidding men to marry, the notion of purgatory, salvation through works, acceptance of homosexuality as not being sinful, importance placed on the Pope (a mere man), praying and worshiping before statues, acceptance of a belief that we must have a saint (what amounts to one of our dead forefathers) stand between us and the Lord for intersession. All of these are just a few examples of parts of the Catholic belief system which are not Biblically based. I believe there are many well intentioned Catholics (just as there are many well-intentioned Muslims, Jews, Budhists, etc)

It means everything I do each day is rooted in some manner to being Catholic and obeying my Lord. It is not simply a religion...it is part of one's being, part of one's heritage.
Perhaps because we came from Judaism which is much the same way. Perhaps that is why I feel that it is part of my very identity.
In His love,

Revelation 12:9 says the whole world is deceived, I don't think Catholics are exempt.
Sorry if that offended anyone.

It's great to be a catholic, and just knowing that you belong to the one true church that was founded by our lord Jesus Christ, as for all others their just jump ship wannabe Christians.

Being Catholic means living Christianity fully, as our founder Jesus Christ intended it to be lived and as the original Catholics lived it during Apostolic times. It means being a member of the one Church founded by God himself, and the only Church approved by Him, not by one of the thousands of human founders. It means having access to the fullness of truth and authoritative biblical interpretation. It means freedom from the doctrinal chaos of manmade denominational religion. It means living according to the stated will of God, "that they all may be ONE", instead of living in direct violation of God's stated will. It means experiencing the promises of God to His Church - "whatsoever you bind upon earth is bound in heaven"; "the Holy Spirit will guide you to all truth". It means receiving the fullness of grace in the holy Sacraments, especially the Most Holy Eucharist, which is the most intimate interaction with God that is possible for a human being on earth.

It means that I belong to the Church founded by no less than Jesus Christ himself.
"The Catholic Church is the work of Divine Providence, achieved through the prophecies of the prophets, through the Incarnation and the teaching of Christ, through the journeys of the Apostles, through the suffering, the crosses, the blood and the death of the martyrs, through the admirable lives of the saints. When, then, we see so much help on God's part, so much progress and so much fruit, shall we hesitate to bury ourselves in the bosom of that Church? For starting from the Apostolic Chair down through successions of bishops, even unto the open confession of all mankind, it has possessed the crown of teaching authority." - St. Augustine of Hippo ("The Advantage of Believing" 4th century A.D.)

Go to mass every sunday (at least) say your prayers. and, like the protestants try to convert. It is hardly a free religion.
and of course to know love and serve God in this world and be happy with him in the next. First we have to know love and serve him though. You don't just "Get to heaven"

It's a religion that has a very long history.
It has pageantry and even a kind of royalty.
It is also sometimes difficult because most people don't really know anything about Catholicism......except bits and pieces they've picked up.
