The VAST majority of American water systems are clean adn bactera-free. If a woman got sick from tap water, a pipe must have collapsed or been punctured to allow the bacteria in.
They are really equal in "health" values. Tap is better if you're in a community w/ fluoridated water. Purifed is better if you drink more of it for the snob factor of carrying around a bottle of water you paid for. Either way, just d rink it.

Neither one. Purified or "enhanced" water is nothing more than tap water in a bottle. It is "purified" or "enhanced" with the same chemicals, namely chlorine bleach, that is in regular municipal tap water. The whole marketing scam of bottled water companies is now under investigation. Spring, or steam distilled water is best, although there is still some questionable marketing going on with some of those companies as well. Its a good idea to have whatever source of water you use tested to see what chemicals are present-most people are unaware of the toxic load that municipal water puts on the body. Many people suffer for years with illnesses such as arthritis and other chronic pain syndromes, before they learn they are allergic to the chemicals in the water they drink and bathe in. Sad, but true, and only the tip of the iceberg where the food and water supply is concerned. These facts can be backed up with a quick google search-I have done extensive research on this and am not just spouting off from the top of my head. Its another issue where many prefer to stick their head in the sand and pretend that our water is safe-when in fact, its not. Oprah recently did a documentary on the topic, and details can be found at Oprah.com-the same water you flush down the toilet ends up in the tap water that runs into your kitchen tap!!!! Worth researching, dont you think

If it is filtered and treated tap water, it's no different than bottled purified water.
The best water for you is well water because it has minerals, but it can also have a funny taste and smell.
Untreated tap water on the other can of course kill you if contaminated.
That's about all I know.

Your tap water may be nasty, esp you are in an older home or apartments. Put a PUR filter on the faucet and keep drinking! Purified is usually filled from the tap, too. It has no more nutrition (or less) than tap water. But certainly costs more than tap!

as long as you are getting minerals from other sources bottled is fine. Tap water should be fine it is very rare for a problem to occure with city tap water. Ddrink whichever you like better (I like Aquafina personally).

You answered your own question. It depends where you are from. If you can trust the sanitation of your tap water, go for tap water.
