when is it a right time for teens to start dating?

around what age do you think teens should start dating? middle school,high school, etc?

Prolly not until high school. Middle schoolers are still in full-out 'kid' mode, and they don't get out of it until around the end of freshman year. Really the most important thing to consider is the maturity of the kid. I started dating freshman year and stayed with that first boyfriend until well after highschool (I was not his 1st gf, but he was faithful while we were 2gether). The same thing w/ my best friend and her boyfriend, and they're still together!

However, many of my friends started dating in middle school and elementary school, and none of them stayed with a boy for more than a few weeks at most. Simply put, they weren't mature enough to turn in a book report, and really weren't mature enough to be in any kind of relationship. They could've saved themselves a lot of heartache and bad decisions by waiting a few years until they were more level headed.

If this is you're child you're thinking about (or a younger sibling, etc.) consider their actions and their intelligence. Have they ever gotten in trouble? (at school, with the law, at home.) Are they mature enough to take care of a dog or cat? (not fish or turtles, but something that requires them to walk it, feed it, spend time with it, etc.) How much freedom do they have already? If they can't be trusted to manage their own affairs on the internet (ie. no parental controls, they have their own computer and private life, no one monitors their chat conversations), and (if you're the parent) you still have to meet with their friend's parents when they go over to someone else's house, then they haven't had enough independence to be in a healthy relationship.

Dating is really all about standing on your own to feet. If the teen isn't able to manage their own life without parental intervention (and/ or hovering) then it's unlikely they'll be able to manage having a bf/gf.

that is stressful. i think of it extremely is a touch too strict, yet there is not any longer something you're able to do approximately it. do no longer insurrection and date somebody reason which will make you look much less mature than only announcing you fell mature adequate to take on the duty of being in a courting. sit down him down and communicate in case you locate a guy you extremely like.
